Well, The Sims 3 is a standalone game, commonly referred to as the base game. You can go buy just that game and play it, nothing else required. The Sims 3 world Adventures is an expansion pack which REQUIRES The Sims 3 ( Base game ). This means in order to play World Adventures you MUST have The Sims 3. It "expands" your game meaning it adds new things, such as the new worlds, hence the name Expansion pack. Gah, probably doesn't make any sense to you....



And The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 World Adventures is definitely appropriate for a 14 year old. It has no nudity, violence or anything of the kind. And besides, it's rated Teen and 14 is considered Teen soo...What is the difference between sims 3 and sims 3 world adventures?
The difference between the Sims 3 and The Sims 3 World Adventures, is The Sims 3 is just the normal game, and the World Adventures is just an Expansion pack that come with more themes, items, (etc.) and you MUST have the Sims 3 to play The Sims 3 World Adventures.

Well, Sims 3 has its own original stuff, and Sims 3 World Adventures adds new stuff that are way cooler, like practicing martial arts (Sims 3 World Adventures has that).



P.S. Sure 14 year olds can play. Anyone can play, but the "under 13 kids" have to have permission from their parents.
