2 things, when let my sims care for their children the baby or toddler gets a positive memory about losing weight when it isn't fed quick enough. Also, when the parents look at their baby's portrait in the family bar thingy they're listed as unemployed. i've never had this happen, so imo it's a bug. try creating a gay couple, that'll solve the anorexic unemployed baby problem.
