What is the difference between The sims 3 and the sims 3 pets?

I'm planning on buying one of the 2, I want to know what is the difference between the sims 3 and the sims 3 pets, beside the pets.What is the difference between The sims 3 and the sims 3 pets?
Well in sims 2 pets you can not have story mode as in sims 2 normal and in sims 2 normal your

sims can have sex but not in sims 2 pets so it might be that way in 3 but i dont think normal sims 3

has story mode because my friend has it and i dont think it has story mode so i hope this help, i dont

On sims 3 you can not have pets. you can only be yourself or the person you marry (or if u make kids). But on The sims pets you can either have a pet or BE a pet or just switch around. they can be your childrens best friends, your heroes, or even just a best friend. the game is a lot of fun either way i would recommendd the sims 3 pets just because if you ever get bored with your sim, instead of making a complete new one, you can be a pet or have a pet to play withWhat is the difference between The sims 3 and the sims 3 pets?
You mean the Sims 3 Pets PLUS; just getting The Sims 3 Pets will not work without the original Sims 3 disk.



The Sims 3 Pets Plus just combines the base game with the original game. Adding the Pets expansion pack doesn't really do much bescides adding pets, so really there is no difference. It does, however, add some new clothes but in a very minimal (and quite unflattering) way.
For PC The Sims 3 is base game and The Sims 3 Pets is expansion pack.

The Sims 3 Pets won't work without the base game so its recommended you buy the base game.

If you're talking about the PC version (which I think you are) The Sims 3 is the base game.

The Sims 3 Pets is an EP which adds content to the base game. You can't play this without the base game I'm afraid.
i heard that you can't have kids on the sims 3 pets and that the sims 3 pet's one sucks and that you shouldn't get it.
Sims pets concentrates mostly on animals and pets while Sims 3 concentrate on both of them so I recon u buy Sims 3
You need to buy The Sims 3 for all the expansion packs to work so if you want The Sims 3 Pets, you'll have to get both games anyway. Hope I helped,
