Quick answer if posible pleaseDownloaded The Sims 3, Graphic problem?
if ur sure ur PC specs meet the recommended req. to run the game set the graphics options to high, however if ur running the game on minimum req. there is nothing u can do but to upgrade ur PC

EDITED:graphics card is a hardware not a software that u can download u have to buy it from hardware/computer shop

and if u have a laptop then u cant change the grapchs card.
What's your graphics card? Research that, see if it's high enough.

Update the graphics card drivers also if you can; on a desktop PC go to the brand of the graphics card's site. If a notebook/laptop go to the manufacturer's website. Look for "updates" etc.

Also, in game, in the "Settings" (while in a household) and there's a slider which changes the graphics to high, low etc depending what your comp can handle. Browse through the different tabs in settings to find it. There's lots of cool other things like turning off aging etc.

Good luck hope I helped, that should do it. It's really gotta be one of those two. :)Downloaded The Sims 3, Graphic problem?
I think everyone is having this problem. I have the absolute requirements (not meaning minimum) but, yes, it runs slowly and the graphics are a bit... TS1-ish.

The Sims 3 claimed that they wanted the game to be able to work perfectly on everyone's system. I forgot where I read this, but I'm 100% positive that that is what they said. I don't think people need to go out and buy video cards and chipsets. So, with that, I'm going to be positive and wait for the patch, because I think that's our only hope. For now.
hi u say that u have low graphics configuration . Don't worry go to

If your computer meets the minimum specs its still not good enough they are the minimum to run at lowest level. my computer is well above and plays slowly but fair at low level, my husband has a gaming computer which is extremely above the minimum and plays very well but not al top quality, good quality but not very top
one thing u need to know about pc games.

is that u have to set up the graphical settigns of the game urself.

in the display options for the game

set the resolution higher, and other graphic things.

ur graphical settings might be set to low thats why it looks crap.

so go to options and set them to high.,

but if ur pc isnt good enough then u might not be able to set them higher cause itl cause lag.
I Installed the sims 3 on my laptop, it went all slow and pixley.

I Installed it on my downstairs PC prefect.

It was because of the graphics on my laptop wasn't Very good and i didn't have much space.

see if you can install it on another computer or get a better graphics card PC world would have them.
i played the game and the graphics was fine. Either your 3D card is not up to the standard or you need to increase your resolution in the game option menu. Also, since you mentioned that you downloaded the file, make sure you got the original one without any file errors :) cheers
I think the reason for this is because of the way you set up your game.

On the main menu of the game, try going options, then altering things to do with graphics, or anything along those lines.

Hope it helps.

P.S - Maybe your computer isnt good enough to take the high graphics of the game?
Just try to change the setting if that don't work go back to the place you bought it from and tell them to give you a better graphics card. they will also but a new warranty seal on so you will,l have no problem getting a refund if you wanted one
Yes, it could be your computer specifications, graphics card or processor can't run such a powerful programme. I have downloaded it, and it works great on my laptop, but my laptop is just new. Try a new graphics card. Good Luck
Like everyone else said, you probably don't have a good enough system to run it on high quality settings, you might suggest buying a new video card. You also might have the right requirements so you could just go in the options and change it to a higher setting. Good luck...
Go to the options and you will see that everything is on low. Change it all to medium and the graphics will improve but you will have to quit the game and then go back on it for the changes to come into effect.

Hope I helped :)
Try updating your drivers for your graphics card. If that doesn't work invest in a new graphics card or a new system. It could also be a game glitch, so be prepared for patches. Also be sure to check the in-game settings.
What are your computer's specifications?

Are you sure it meets the minimum hardware requirements?
try options on the game - turning off the reflection inmirror helps alot. also it could be your graphics card. we downloaded sims 2 pets and the graphics card wasn't good enough so the walls all flashed red and black

hope this helps =]
My friend had the same problem

Only the newest Macbooks have the best quality apparently :/
